Street Sweeping Scheduled

Reminder that street sweeping is scheduled for next week, beginning Monday, April 6. Parking restrictions will be posted throughout the town. Anyone who has off-street parking is asked to use it as much as possible to make the job go more efficiently.

Millersburg Borough Schedules Spring Clean Up

Millersburg Borough has scheduled spring clean up for Saturday, April 11 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (or until the cans are full) at the Pine Street lot at the intersection of Pine and Market Streets.

This is an opportunity for residents to do some spring cleaning and get rid of old furniture, broken items and other junk.

Millersburg Borough cannot accept electronics. Gratz Borough has agreed to host the northern Dauphin County’s monthly electronics recycling service that day. Upper Paxton Township will resume hosting the electronics recycling program on May 9. This service is offered on the second Saturday of every month at the township building with the support of the Dauphin County Commissioners.

Millersburg Borough cannot accept hazardous materials such as weed and insect sprays, paint, automobile fluids, antifreeze, lye and other chemicals. Dauphin County residents can arrange for a free pick up of hazardous materials by calling 1-800-449-7587.

The Borough will not accept household waste, construction material and landscaping material. They reserve the right to reject other materials.

Used tires will be accepted for a fee.

Residents are asked to have identification ready in order to show proof of residency in the Borough. Upper Paxton Township will host their spring clean up on the same day for township residents.

Important Earned Income Tax Return Information

Millersburg Borough has a contract with Keystone Collections Group to process local earned income tax returns. Returns can be filed electronically at Keystone's website: www.keystonecollects.com

Cruisin' The Cosmos, Spring 2015

2015 Budget Notice

The Borough Council finalized the 2015 budget. Click the links below for the final versions. The only change between the preliminary and final budget was additional money in the capital improvement budget for a second police vehicle.

Federal Assistance Available

Residents are invited to meet with a staffer from US Congressman Lou Barletta's office. A staffer is here every third Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon to assist residents with issues and concerns related to the federal government. No appointment is required.

                                                          2015 Dog License application

State law requires that all dogs older than three months be licensed and licenses may be purchased from the Dauphin County Treasurer's Office. Licensing allows lost dogs to be easily returned to their owners, reducing the cost to the municipality. Click on the link above to license your dog for 2015. Licensing services are also available at Lehman's Hardware in Millersburg, Kratzer's Hardware in Elizabethville and Hornung's True Value in Halifax.

Public Notary services are available at the Millersburg Borough office during normal business hours.

The cost is $5 per notarization and the fee is waived for borough residents as a service to the community. 

Appointments are recommended but not required.

Millersburg Borough Council will hold their regular Council meetings the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7:00PM with the exception of the October and November meetings, which will be held October 7 and November 4 respectively.  All Committee meetings will be held the fourth Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7:00PM with the exception of the November meeting, which will be held November 24. 

 The Property Maintenance Ordinance Committee will meet the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:00PM.  

The Millersburg Planning Commission will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:00PM.  There will be no November or December meeting. 

All meetings will be held in the Council Chambers located at 101 West Street in Millersburg.  The public is welcomed to attend.
