Once they are done speaking\, if time remains\, residents in the remainder of 17061 may speak. Post Public comment\, Borough Council may take action as needed. Additional instructions including time allowance per speaker will be provided as the event gets closer.\n\n\nAll individuals entering the building for the meeting will be asked to show ID. Those individuals identified as living within the borough or property or business owners within the borough will be allowed access. For individuals living in the township\, they will be allowed access as space permits. All bags will be checked\, and everyone will be wanded. The meeting\, originally scheduled to be held at the Millersburg Area School District\, will now be held: \nWednesday\, December 20th\, 2023 at 6pm in Council Chambers at 101 West Street\, Millersburg\, PA. \nThe venue change was necessary to prevent unwanted co-mingling of school students attending a sporting event and individuals attending the Special Meeting on the same night. Construction of the new school has limited entrances and exits. Borough Council and the School District feel that the event would be better suited for another night or another venue. Other available nights around the holidays were undesirable\, so another venue was selected. \nResolution 23-24 is posted here in its entirety\, detailing the rules for the event. Additionally\, the Borough has posted the opinion of our Zoning Officer as it relates to the Zoning challenge put forth by residents. Please be sure to read these documents carefully. \nDoors will open at 5pm. All parties in attendance will be subject to search. NO WEAPONS WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING. Due to limited seating\, attendees will be admitted and permitted to speak in the order and with the time limits outlined in Resolution 23-24. 5 seats for each side (10 total) will be reserved for the entirety of the event\, limiting additional attendees in the building to the remaining 46 seats (max occupancy per the building code). Handicapped seating will be available. At the end of their allotted time\, commenters will be asked to exit the building to allow additional attendees to enter and offer comment. The meeting will last 3 hours with public comment ending at 8:40pm. Any parties who wish to speak but may not make the cutoff time are encouraged to submit a letter to Borough Council with their comments. DESCRIPTION:Millersburg Borough Council has set Saturday April 20th as the 2024 Clean Up date. Borough Residents who wish to dispose of materials may bring those materials\, along with ID indicating their residency within the Borough\, to the municipal garage located on Pine Street. The Clean Up will open at 7 a.m. and will run until the dumpsters are full\, which has historically been between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Check the Borough Facebook page on the 22nd for the official announcement of the closure. \nPlease note the following restrictions on accepted materials— \nElectronics will be accepted.  \nMillersburg Borough cannot accept hazardous materials such as weed and insect sprays\, paint\, automobile fluids\, antifreeze\, lye and other chemicals.  Flyers will be available upon request for Dauphin County’s Household Hazardous Waste Curbside Disposal program. \nThe Borough will not accept household waste\, construction material and landscaping material. Borough staff members reserve the right to reject other materials. Used tires will not be accepted\, but can be disposed of at most service garages. \nACCESS TO THE PINE STREET GARAGE— \nThere will be no access to the Garage from State Route 147 to ensure the safety of travelers and residents. Borough residents are to use Race Street to access Pine Street\, proceed West towards the Garage\, and use Boyd Street to exit the area.
